Our Toscana planters are a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship from Tuscany. They are made of high-quality, genuine terracotta and are absolutely frost-proof.
The flowerpot is very solid and stable and offers large plants plenty of space to grow. The planter is equipped with a drainage hole that ensures water drainage and guarantees the survival of your plants.
Our planters are manufactured at very high temperatures, which makes them completely frost-proof and weatherproof. This guarantees a long lifespan and high quality of the product.
For indoor use, we recommend using a suitable plate to prevent water from running off. We offer matching triangular feet for secure standing on any surface. Three feet are usually sufficient for round vessels.

High-quality vessels: The clay in Italy is still unbeatable. It has a very high iron, copper and silicon content, which not only makes the material completely frost-proof, but also ensures that our Siena vessels develop verdigris very late, if at all. Of course, this can be completely avoided with appropriate impregnation.
In addition, all containers are fired twice at temperatures well over 1000 degrees, which is essential for truly weatherproof plant containers.
We have many pots on site. Larger sets are made especially for you at our factory in Italy after you place your order and are delivered directly to your home by a shipping company. This usually takes 2-3 weeks from receipt of the order.
Important accessories: Proper planting is very important for the durability of the planters. No pot is frost-proof if it is only filled with soil. Good drainage is essential.
The pots must first be equipped with a drainage layer. A piece of weed control fleece, which is permeable to water and wind, is placed over this layer. This fleece prevents the soil and drainage from mixing. The pot is then planted with soil as usual.
In addition, the flower pots must all be positioned a little off the ground. This can be achieved by using so-called "feet". This allows excess irrigation and rainwater to drain away and also prevents vermin such as woodlice or ants from nesting under the pot.

FAQ
Are your products really frost-resistant?
100% YES! Stoneware is simply unbreakable, and our terracotta from Italy is fired at such a high temperature and of such high quality that all containers are completely winter-hardy, meaning frost-resistant. Of course, rainwater and irrigation water must be able to drain away, so please ensure you plant the right plants and feel free to place a foot under the container from time to time ;-)
Regarding crates: I ordered your great, flame-treated crates. What can I do to prevent the crates from sooting so much and making my hands black?
First of all, we're delighted that you like our beautiful flamed crates so much. However, a little soot remains, especially on the flamed crates. While this creates a gigantic look, it can also stain slightly.
Simply take an old, wet rag and thoroughly wash the boxes with dish soap or something similar. A coarse brush can also help. Let it dry thoroughly and then seal it with varnish. Use it as is, or spray it heavily with hairspray. It really helps :-)
How do you clean terracotta pots?
Terracotta is a natural material, and its open pores make it easy for bacteria and limescale to build up. There are various household remedies that work very well. The simplest is to make a mixture of 9 parts water and 1 part vinegar or citric acid and use it to clean the pot. A coarse bristle brush is best for this.
Alternatively—if you have to repot anyway, for example—you can soak the pots in water overnight and clean them thoroughly with potato peels. The starch contained in the potatoes is an incredibly effective cleaner. Don't throw away the potato water from the night before; simply use it for cleaning. You'll be surprised.
Will I get exactly the same pots or boxes as shown in the product photo?
Our stoneware, concrete, and terracotta items are all handmade. While there are always some variations, the basic color and, of course, the sizes are consistent. You will always receive a truly unique piece.
The used wooden crates undergo very strict inspections. Of course, every crate is different and has seen different things in its lifetime. Therefore, variations may occur, but we strive for the highest quality!
Do you actually have any more pots and boxes?
Of course! We're constantly placing new orders with our suppliers, keeping an eye on the latest trends, and continually expanding our product range. But we also always make sure to deliver only the best quality...after all, we've been around for 20 years, and we want to keep it that way ;-)
