What does “vintage flamed” mean?

We've had these crates for over three years now, and they're extremely popular. They're also newly produced especially for us, but with a very dark flame finish. This gives them an extremely beautiful vintage look while still offering the benefits of uniform, sturdy new wooden crates.

Do I still need to clean the boxes?

Yes and no ;-) Depending on the intended use, the boxes should be wiped down again with an old, damp cloth to completely remove any soot residue.

How heavy are the boxes?

These boxes are also very solid, weighing approximately 3 kg each. While that's not so nice for the postman, you get outstanding quality that will last for years to come.

Do I need to assemble anything else?

No, all boxes arrive fully assembled and ready to use. In a set of four, for example, you'll receive four individual boxes of your choice. The boxes can then be freely combined or used together.
